The sculptor Alan Dun asked me to make a cone 2100mmx200mm from a copper water tank, the material being about 2.5mm thick.

Recently hand-formed 4 cones for the sculptor Alan Dun. Fabricated them from 2.5mm phosphor bronze sheet, most of them put together in at least 3 sections with usually a cast point/tip welded last of all. Very tough material to form, lots of annealing. About to embark on making a large cone just over 2 metre tall, 200mm diameter at base in copper for same client.

A slightly sturdier figure cast more recently for Kate Nottage and then cut and fitted to stand inside a glass box.

Made this mould and casting for Samantha Harvey earlier in the year. A bit hairy applying rubber to a figure with very little armature!

Just finished this sculpture called 'Sandwich' by John Wragg. It's been a long time since I metal worked aluminium, forgot how dirty it was to fettle. John's castings had been kept outside for a long time before I got to them and looked like stone because of the patina that had accrued on the surface.

Treated myself to a set of long overdue new files. Unfortunately I could not run to a set of Swiss ones, but they will certainly improve on my old collection, now in the second tier.

Just finished working on this sculpture by Paul Mount. Sadly it is the last set of stainless steel castings I will receive from Orion precision castings in Hayle, they have had to shut down, what a shame, they were great to work with. Anybody know of a good ceramic shell foundry casting 316 Stainless from customers waxes?

This is the bronze casting of the concrete stile. It has caused a bit of grief as it was in 9 sections of very heavyweight parts, fitted where it touched and absorbed a lot of welding rod, electricity and argon gas, not forgetting the propane used to patinate it.

I have been working on this project for Melksham on and off during August and September of this year.
The castings are by Novacast for the artist Verity Jane Keefe, I was asked to fettle, weld and patinate the castings for presentation before they were installed. The fixings were made by Simon Day, the patterns were made elsewhere.

Although completed a couple of years back I fabricated this sculpture for Paul Mount from his card model and made all 7 in the edition over the years, plus a much larger scale version. It's called Ewigkeit
